Would it be ok to move them out to the henhouse for a week or so before building the run? My henhouse is built and I'll be building my run in the next two weeks. Can they live in the henhouse for now?
Thanks! That's a good idea. The garden fencing IS cheaper than hardware cloth. You are talking about this stuff, right?

I'm building a coop and run (total 4'x12'). I will be using hardware cloth for the run, but was wondering if I could get away with regular chicken wire buried around the perimeter? This would save me some money. I'm also thinking that digging predators would be deterred with any metal fencing...
