I know this is an older thread, but can I give Denagard to my mixed flock of chickens and ducks? They are housed together but only my chickens are having the respiratory symptoms. Since I have no way to separate them, I would like to also treat the ducks so they don’t get sick.
I am a first time user of Denagard. I have read some conflicting advice on using this with my mixed flock of chickens and ducks.
I have something respiratory going on with my chickens and since everyone is housed together I was going to use Denagard with the whole flock to cure/prevent whatever...
I have looked and felt and can’t find anything. I’ve left it alone for a couple days and it seems like she maybe, the times I’ve watched her, is putting a little more weight in it. It definitely doesn’t look any worse.
No vet around that sees ducks. I called the vet that I take my dog to and she gave me Enrofloxacin ( baytril). I gave my duck 1 dose and was looking up the egg withdrawal period. What I’ve read is you can’t ever eat their eggs again?

She’s about the same, thank you for asking. Swelling is a little worse( I think) than the pictures. I’m going to have my husband take another picture so I can compare.
I’m not sure it’s bumblefoot either. I’m treating it like it was- figured it can’t hurt anything and if it is bumble foot it...
I am looking for some help with one of my Cayuga’s flippers. A little over a week ago I noticed her limping and her toe was swollen. I started epsom salt soaks, spraying with vetricyn, and applying neosporin ( without the pain medicine). I do this 2x a day. She has 2 bumps on the bottom of...
I am a new duck owner. I have had my ducks for almost a year. I have a Cayuga that started limping and holding her flipper up last week. Her toe is swollen and on the underside there are 2 bumps. I have been soaking her foot in epsom salt, spraying the top and bottom of her flipper, and...
