    I experienced a lot death as well, including sudden heart attack around 20 weeks. They were also incredibly slow to feather.....like around 12 weeks

    A better question would be: what did chickens eat (100s or 1000s of years ago) before big ag grew government subsidized & GMO crops (such as corn and soy) to make 50 lb bags of animal feed that can be picked up at the pet store? I have been eating grain-free chickens for a few years years now...

    According to Greenfire Farms website, they originated in the Middle Ages in France, and were nearly extinct in by 1997. Either way, glad to hear you enjoyed it. Were the roosters friendly?
