    Yeah we have foxes. I think they're usually nocturnal but I've seen them in the day time too. I'm hoping that if one starts to try to dig under my run I'll notice it before he's able to get all the way under the wire since we buried it. We're at least going to make him work for it. Chickens...

    I bought 8 chicks from a local poultry dealer: 3 Americuana, 2 Welsummer, 1 Black Star, 2 Red Star. He threw in a 9th chick for free but didn't include it on my receipt so I'm not sure of the breed. I think I've got it figured out who's who, except for this one. She's about 6 weeks old now...

    Thanks for all of the suggestions! Sounds like there are basically 2 schools of thought...tame him and be his friend or dominate him. I recently had to rehome a chihuahua yorkie with severe behavior problems from his previous homes that I wasn't able to correct, so I hope I have better luck...

    Mine really enjoy oats (as in oatmeal). I bought the "quick" cooking kind, as they are chopped up into finer pieces. Also, they make chick grit which is in smaller pieces. I didn't know I was supposed to offer grit and so mine got treats for a few weeks before getting the grit and they didn't...
