Thanks for the replies! I LOVE the coloring on Cayugas. I am a bit concerned though because we live in the high desert of the Southwest with very intense sunlight and I wonder if they'd overheat being so dark. jujubean, I'll look into Efowl. That's how Metzer's ships also, with a heat pack... -

Purina Flock Raiser- Foot Issues, etc...?
CityChicker, How are your ducks' feet doing? I found nutritional yeast at my health food store and added it to the Flock Raiser I'm feeding my ducks and now, less than a week later, my girl who was limping seems fine. I am so glad! Thanks for the help. Teresa -

I just found out that Metzer will ship as few as TWO! They include a heat pack and charge extra, but I'm really excited that I'll be able to order! And I think we'll go with those Welsh Harlequins. All the nice things I hear about them sound like just what we're looking for. Looking forward... -

I'm thinking Khaki Campbells sound like the ducks for us. My almost 7-yr-old daughter wants a pet duck, I want eggs. Whenever I see a photo of runner ducks, though, they make me laugh and I'm tempted to order them instead. Any advice? What breed do you have? -
