Hen plucking and eating feathers off of others

They have few roosts, dust, sand among many options she chose to pluck feathers 🤬... Right, I thought the same about reintegration, kind of risky... But I'm out of fence and shops are closed for a while, I tried to improvise today with curtains but she finds her way to sneak out... She's a real...

Hen plucking and eating feathers off of others

I was thinking of buying chick starter and try my luck. Not sure if it's gonna help her stop doing that bad habit but wil certainly try. Should I separate her completely, would it be a good idea to put her away for a couple days?

Hen plucking and eating feathers off of others

Hello everyone. I have a problem with 1 hen, she keeps plucking off/eating feathers of other hens. It came to the point that one of my hens has bare spots on her thighs. I've noticed today that 6 of my other hens don't have saddle feathers, just fluffy inner ones. And I saw her plucking off...

    Sawdust as last option

Thank you! Hmm, I could get a straw, I've been using it years ago but alone and it really makes the coop messy, can't last even 2 days... how could I mix it actually? Wouldn't sawdust just go through it? Should I add equal amount of both or 1 more than the other?

    Sawdust as last option

I see... I find them good as bedding but I'm afraid they might use it for dustbath and it would cause a mess, also hard to breathe

    Sawdust as last option

Hello everyone! I ran out of wood shavings. I've went through the whole town and couldn't find shavings, the only thing I found today was sawdust. Now, is it a good idea to use sawdust as bedding? I'm scared of them eating some, they are nine months old and even tho. they are adults now they...

    Worms in poop?

I understand, thank you! I'll know more tomorrow day, I've read few articles. It's hard to get rid off of them right? I mean, are they really persistent? What are the chances of my hens getting rid off of them?

    Worms in poop?

What should I treat them with? Also, do they come back after a treatment or gone for good?

    Worms in poop?

I'm new to all this so still learning... I have never hit the 'worms chapter' lol... Are you sure? The first photo was taken just when 1 hen pooped while I was there, I had to check her poop too and it had those in it as you can see... 🤔
