...not one that's attached...
I was able to find a local bird store that carried tetracycline (I figure this now versus Enrofolxacin in a couple of days would be better) but wasn't able to get there before they closed so was tentatively planning to put it off one more day. The afternoon...
Thanks! I was finally able to get it back in last night. Hadn't realized how the anatomy of the vent was oriented and where I needed to apply pressure. I basically ended up sticking my lubed fingertip right in behind it so I could push it forward rather than straight in. Went in easily once I...
Glad to hear Bumpy continues to improve!
When I extended Rudy's member for another photo I pulled it a little further out and did find some yellow ...something... to scrape off. Before and after photos attached. No idea if it was a foreign substance or part of him. With that gone I'm back to...
Got it. Will stick with honey and Neosporin. He’s taking an inside epsom salt soak inside right now. Will take a stretched out photo before I transfer him to his new observation area and post it shortly. If I can get him settled down well enough I’ll also try to go catch his buddy, Captain...
Thanks for your help! I lubed it up with Neosporin yesterday. With the amount of time he spends in his tub drying out hasn't really been an issue. I'll give honey a try, seems like it would dissolve off quickly if he gets in his tub, but I was about to bring him inside for a while anyway. I...
Here's a photo. Definitely looks a little irritated but has stayed clean and moist. I can't find any damage or evidence of dead tissue that would explain why it's not going back in. That said, I don't routinely inspect duck penises to know what falls into the realm of "normal".
Thanks for the response. Glad to hear Bumpy is feeling better.
Rudy's appetite is definitely reduced but he has eaten some and seems to drink a normal amount; seems like it could just as easily be attributed to stress. He spends most of his time in his tub so it's possible that he's pooping in...
Hi there, my poor Rudy is having similar troubles. I was just about to make a similar post but perhaps you could help me out. Do you know if bumpy was able to poop around his dangling dingle throughout this ordeal? I've been reading all sorts of posts tonight but that topic doesn't seem to come...
