I forgot to mention to cut the wings off before you dip them in the water. It is very important that the water is 160 degrees!!! Oh and one more thing you might want to try, take six of your cleaned birds and put them in a big zip lock bag and add 1 envelope of taco seasoning and shake it up.Put...
I cull my jumbo brown Roo's at 8 weeks when I have around 20 or so to do. The method I use to keep the skin on is scalding the bird in 160 degree water for 30 seconds and the feathers will rub right off. There is no plucking!!!!

Hello all I purchased 100 eggs from JMF and had a 60 % hatch rate which is amazing in its self with shipped eggs!! I purchased the dual purpose jumbo browns and the Meat A&M's The Jumbo browns are doing great the A&M's are acting CRAZY!! Has anyone else had this problem?

I really like my premier also. I have it setup in an outdoor brooder and have raised three batches of quail with it.I was going to buy a second one but they were out of stock so I built my own.It works great also for half the cost of the premier!!
I'm fermenting the crumbles and then putting that in a piece of 3" PVC with caps on the end and a 1" wide slit the length of the pipe. Works great and there is no waste at all.
