The point in the original posting I would like to address is that predators are not inclined to the same reasoning as humans, and so we cannot take it personally if the 'do what they do'. This is a personal subject for me. We live in a subdivision in a town that has no leash laws for dogs...
Okay, I figure that this is the place I will find the most fanatical lovers of all things chicken. I have to ask, for although I love this new adventure, I would not personally go this far...
Do any of you use "Chicken Poop" Lip Balm?
It's available here...
I found this interesting since when I was a kid and hatched eggs for the science fair I did not turn them at all. We only put 3 eggs in and all three hatched. Not a good sample scientifically but, there you go.
Thanks all! In case you didn't see the post, I also got a surprise ducky this morning! Went to turn the bugger (not due till Wednesday) and there was a big pip in the bottom. He just got out and is doing great!

I had a problem with humidity, and my hubby went to the Dollar store and got two of those cheapie giant yellow car washing sponges. I put them in and my humidity hit 78% in the hour. I also have put a warm mist humidifier next to the bator when I have the AC running to compensate for the dry...
Thank you. This is my first hatch and it was very nervewracking but SOOOOOO worth it! I have a bunch of pics but haven't put them on the PC yet. I will today. Good Luck!
Update: This morning when we woke up we had one more chick.. This was the one that had been singing so strongly when I zipped him last night. The other had made no progress and was very still. I was so worried! I reached in and just squeezed a little where the shell was removed and felt a...
