check out your nearest farm store, they'll probably have what youll need. they say a 250w heat bulb (the red) one is what you'll need and then google the temp. requirements. i personally use a brooder plate (amazon) and will never go back to a lamp lol. and it also depends where you live. in...- R&B Services

EEs lay more than wyandottes for me. and are less skiddish. if u get them as chicks they are fun to watch as their plumage changes. they may look like similar chipmunks to start but they feather out different! these and olive eggers are the only ones i hatch on my own lol i like surprise of...- R&B Services

lol u might laugh but i used a small led flashlight i bought from ross for 3.99. it worked just as well as my maglight but it was small enough to cup my hand around the light. day 7ish i look for the veins in the egg. and like chickenmeadow i candle around day 14 and mainly look at the air sac...- R&B Services

i usually let mines set on 12. she did well hatching 11 of the 12 recently. as for progression of fertile eggs, i candle them around 7 days- R&B Services
