I am hoping to come to the swap this weekend but don't want to come all that way unless someone is coming with some bantams for sale. Just looking for bug patrol so they don't need to be purebred or anything special. Will anyone have any available this Sunday?
Looking forward to the swaps all starting up. I am looking to get some barnyard bantams for a few eggs but more for bug patrol. I would prefer to get adults at least not chicks that still need to be under a heater. I will take roosters too but please not just roosters. Would like hens with those...
Back from the Oxford swap AND still no laying hens. I wish I was looking for ducks. Lots of those to be found. Does anyone know of any laying hens for sale that are not baby chicks or 3 years old? I'm only looking for 4 or 5.
With showers on the way for tomorrows swap will most people still be going? I don't want to get up that early and travel that far to find out that it was cancelled or that noone shows up. Who is planning to go rain or shine?
Will anyone be going to the Lewiston or Oxford swaps with young laying hens (under a year old)? I have had two people contact me asking if there will be any there. One person is only looking for 4. The other only wants 3. They do not want chicks or older birds.
I'll be there. I am looking for some young laying hens. Standard size. Only need 4 or 5 if anyone is selling some. I will most likely have some dwarf and lop earred rabbits with me for sale.
I will be going to the Oxford and Lewiston swaps. (possibly Augusta). Is anyone planning on bringing any young laying hens. I'm looking for some pullets that are just about ready to lay. Not looking for 2 year old hens. Not looking for chicks. Not set on a breed as long as it is standard size...

I would love to as it is very close to home but it is the end of Cumberland Fair and the begining of Fryburg Fair so we will be busy with both of those. :-( Wish it was the weekend after Fryburg was over. I'll hopefully hit the next one. I have a bunch of silkies and cochins for sale...
Can someone explain to me the difference between a "Farmstock" and a "chickenstock" other than the fact that the chickenstock is more chicken related? I am wondering why they are two different events if we are always encouraging other types of animals to come to the chickenstocks. Would we have...
Anyone on here have or know of anyone that might have 3 or 4 standard aracauna hens for sale? I had someone contact me today looking for some. Wants young pullets...this years hatch. You can PM me if you do. Thanks.
I would be more than willing to contact the local stores about setting up more swaps but I was told that the person that sets it up is responsible for getting insurance on the event which would cost about $250.00. I was also told if anything happens (bite, scratch, fall etc) then I could be...
