You could keep a few pullets and a roo or 2 and try breeding back both ways and I don't think trying to use the cx in any projects is good idea, you would prob have problems for a couple of generations before you get any good response. Good luck... I am going to mix dark cornish with a couple...
The cornish roasters are most likely Dark Cornish that have large breast and are slower to mature that the cornishcross hybrid. I will be working with them next spring on a couple of projects.
I have read that they are a good souce of protien, is this true? It also said that you can empty the trap bags every night but i was wondering if anybody just attached a bait/lure to you tractors and let them enjoy.
