    Hi folks, I’m certain it’s silly to even ask, but does anyone think this little one may be a pullet? We want to be sure sure before rehoming.

    Thank you, everyone! We got them through a shop in Minnesota, but they get their chicks from Hoover’s I believe. So a barnyard mix would be surprising, I’d think.

    We have a 8 week old pullet who is confusing us a bit. She was labeled Barred Rock, but has a tuft, brown in her neck, and pale legs. Any ideas? Thanks for the guesses!

    We still don’t know! Neither of them have obvious comb/wattle development more than any of our other birds Or saddle feathers, and we are thinking maybe they are ladies after all. Time will tell!

    Mass on leg/knee of pullet

    We just found this mass on our 6 week old pullet. She doesn’t seem to be in pain or avoiding use of the leg, and all we have done so far is wipe it off with alcohol. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!

    Any guesses? We have had truly no general consensus on these two and it seems like even at 2 1/2 months we have no idea! We’d love any input you have to share!
