    Yes it was a hard year here for bears and fowl. Many folks lost birds and had their chicken coops thrashed by the hungry bruins. In total I lost 9 bird in two nights. I found the bears here have a preference for expensive heritage breeds....

    I bought the chicks as vent sexed pullets.We have 3 votes for girls and one for a roo. If anyone else has an opinion, feel free to post. I will definitely post an update in a month or so with pics for anyone who is curious.
