I can't access the photos but if your talking about Welsummer chicks females have a defined very dark "V" on their head and males have plain heads. This is how they are sexed as day olds. Hope this helps.

Sweets is doing VERY well. Growing FAST and eating, drinking and poopin up a storm. I had to move "her" out to the outside pen with the bigger chicks due to picking on my new chicks but no worrie cause there is still a heatlamp out there. She actually seemed to like it alot and ate grass...
I'll be there!!! I will have 9 barred rock roo chicks, 4 bantam cochin chicks(supposed to be frizzle but didn't frizzle), 1 buff orp roo chick, and 3 unsexed turken chicks. All chicks are $1. May have some other chicks too but that depends on if my cousin lets them go.
My kids,dogs,horses,cats,rabbits, and turkeys all share the farm with my free range chickens. My kids go barefoot(just like I did growing up) and yea they get poop on their feet but they are washable. I have never had an issue with them becoming sick from sharing grounds with the chickens...
Well if it is a goose it WILL be coming to live with you!!! I guess I will take you up on those duck eggs after all. I just hope I do better at hatching ducks than I do hatching chicks. I put 36 eggs in the bator on 3-30-10 and they STILL haven't hatched. Not a single one. I'm getting ready...

I don't have the best luck in candling. I know I had some clear eggs that I had to remove and some with blood rings but others had veins and moving little babies last week. Of course the little babies seemed REALLY small for how far along they were. Only about the size of a quarter kinda...
