    Rooster Housing?

    So for my roosters I should be able to put them out just like they do the fighting roosters? I know they don't have a run and are more exposed, but every one I have seen is beautiful and in great shape. Just making sure this would work for standard roos!

    The nest boxes are about 30 inches off of the ground. All are layers, Rhode Island red, Dommers, White Leghorn, Buff Orphington, and Delawares.

    Just wondering do I need a ramp up to my nest boxes or will they fly up when its time. The chicks are only 4 weeks old but its warm enough to put them in the coop now. If anybody has pics that would help. Maybe a board along the front for a porch and a ramp at one end? Like I said just wondering?

    Well I went down to the post office this morning, and no chicks. They shipped Saturday was told delivery today.I'm really worried now that they all won't make it. I just don't think they should ship on Saturday knowing it will take at least one more day to arrive.

    Whats the latest we can get by with setting eggs in Southwest Virginia? I'd like to really get a clutch set off this year as long as I have time. I know there are variables such as weather and coop size but what is the general consensus. Southwest Va. means right next to Ky. and West Va.
