Ha ha. The girls are clever and quick. My roosters are fat and slow-er! I agree. I've seen the methods. Mostly my little hen just takes two little steps forward as he goes to mount.
This is the second time that i have kept two roosters with adout 10 hens. They are a friendly breed-Sussex and I have read that that like a back up. I have never had any problems. I will find a photo later and post it.
