Maybe the baby will be huge with all that yolk to sustain it?

I'm not getting my hopes up until day 17. Monday will be day 10 and I'll be candling that batch again.

It's one of those things where I realize I shouldn't, but I'm very intrigued . . . so I might do it just this once. Seeing the chick, if it hatches, would also help me narrow down which of my girls is laying the double yolker so I can keep an eye on her.

I totally would, in the name of science. Of course, yes….um…science. That’s it.

I apparently dont have enough drama in my life bahahaha.

Or will it end up needing extra air? Perhaps it would do better to let that one dry out a bit extra, to make the airsack bigger.

I already do a dry hatch. I'm wondering if it still developing, but day 10 is tomorrow . . . one more day to candle

I can tell when a chick is growing, but couldn't say if it's wing, head or butt that just wiggled.

It does look like two distinct heads though and plenty of room for growth

I think heads too.. they pinch in at the bottom of the shadow!
I find it interesting that this monster egg somehow ended up timed the same as mine, I will watch for your results at the same time as seeing mine hatch.

Just monitor the egg and chick and give the normal 13% loss of original weight by day 18 weight loss. You have a starting weight. Dry hatch until almost day 18 if needed.
