    Auto Door Openers

Hey guys, got a few questions. One, anyone in the US have the ChickenGuard? Any electrical issues with it? I know it connects with USB, just wondering if the voltage difference makes it have any issues in the states vs EU. Also, let me know if you have a brand you absolutely love, since I am...

    Rooster needed (Philly mainline suburbs)

Hi! Found a rooster yet? Right now I’m suspecting two of mine to be roos and will probably be able to tell better in a week or so. One is a blue cuckoo marans, the other is a barred rock. Both are incredibly sweet but the barred rock is also proactive when the others are in “danger” so would...

    ISO Malines

Interesting, I always wonder about this with rare breeds that look so similar to common ones!

Just out of genuine curiosity, I googled these and they look just like Barred Rocks- why do you prefer these?

    Rooster needed (Philly mainline suburbs)

Hey! I'm in the Huntingdon Valley area and have 14 birds who are almost 3 weeks old. My coop is only meant for 9 so I need to find homes for the extras (I didn't think they would all live!) All bought as pullets but I am sure there must be a boy in there somewhere- will let you know in a couple...

Sick hen- not eating but drinking a lot, lethargic.

I'm no expert, but let me just tell you what I know, and maybe someone else can jump in. There is sour crop and impacted crop. One feels soft and the other hard, and I tend to mix them up, so just google to confirm what I say. I am pretty sure sour crop is soft and has a smell coming from the...

Sick hen- not eating but drinking a lot, lethargic.

The issue with the first hen was impacted crop. Also, the hen ate too much and any grit or oil i mixed in her food did not help as it was too late. The second time this occurred, it was with a very young chick. I isolated her, and gave her grit and oil, as well as free choice of water. Because...

Sick hen- not eating but drinking a lot, lethargic.

Thanks for the advice guys! I don't know why the notifications didnt pop up, but the hen ended up passing away. I later got a chick with the same issue and was able to fix the problem with my new experience though.

Six week old golden polish sexing?

Hey guys, this is my first polish (from McMurray) and I am super unfamiliar with the breed, so I'd like some opinions with sexing. Didn't post any full body pictures because s/he wouldn't hold still, but there are no visible pointy feathers in the usual places, but s/he is still young, so...
