    Flaky skin on new chick

Just need some quick help. I have a new chick, among several, and this one is losing it's down. The down had something dried into it and the skin looks dry and flaky. I've only had this chick a day. I think she is acting normal. None of the others seem to be having any problems. Bought from TSC...

Cockerel mating at 10 weeks old

I have another who just started crowing last week too, but I was planning to get rid of him anyhow. I have four other cockerels and was waiting on them to mature to decide who was most protective and gentle before deciding who to keep. Are you saying get rid of all of the cockerels and get more...

Cockerel mating at 10 weeks old

I have a cockerel who has matured way ahead of all the other chicks. He grew feathers in no time, crowed at 6 weeks old and now he is mating the pullets at 10 weeks old. I have had to chase him off them several times. His behaviour really bothers me because they are still so young and I know...

And I'm 95% sure one is a cockerel but what about the other three? And thank you again for the help. Once I...

Dang it. Thank you. I love the sweet chick but I really needed him to be a she. I thought he was probably a boy though. I dont have enough pullets to keep them safe from all the cockerels which means I have to pick and choose who goes and I am in love with him and his brother. And Kellog. They...

This brown baby is a chick I purchased from TS and I have no idea what breed or sex it is. Any suggestions would be helpful. I thought it was a cockerel but at nine weeks its comb is mostly pinky white with a black top over it. I would love for it to be a pullet but not holding my breath...
