I had a similar question. What I've found with asking on here and doing a little more research is my 2 Game Bantams are likely going to be staked and have their own coops to sleep in. I have a main flock Roo and he's just chill and laid back, but keeps the order in the flock and is already...
They came from Hoover Hatchery. That I know. I'll try to get in contact with them, but I had a feeling, they may need to go into a bachleor pen away from the main flock. I just didn't want them to live alone after being raised with the flock. I haven't had any fights but they are still young...
Okay, so I managed to get 2 Old English Game Bantam Roosters from Tractor Supply. I know nothing about them other than what I read in my books. Should I rehome these boys or can they live peacefully in the same enclosure? Should they have seperate enclosures to themselves? Can they be around my...
Could this guy be a Delaware or Columbian Rock? I've been researching breeds and he's starting to resemble a Delaware/Columbian Rock. The marks, the white coloration, the position and height of his comb, the patterning on his wings, tail, and neck. I think he might be at least partly...
The first 2 are 2 of the bantams I got. I'm pretty sure they are cockteals.
the last is my rhode island red. She was unsexed. I'm hoping she is indeed a she, but I'm not sure.
any input is very appreciated!!!
roos and a pulled?
Oh yeah, Roosters aren't an issue where I live. I don't really have a lot of close neighbors really. We have a horse farm down the road, ducks/Chickens/and fowl across the road. Can I keep the 3 roosters? Separate them? Or should I rehome 2?
Don't feed the predators. It just makes them habituated to humans and reliant on you for food. That can only lead to bad things, like the death of your chickens, injury to yourself or people in the house, or the predator.
I strongly believe in livestock guardian dogs. Great Pyrenees are really...
Common construction or building saying. Measure twice, cut once.
I found it helpful to sketch out a rough idea of what I wanted the coop to look like, inside and out before I started building. Or looking online for ideas of different coops.
He does have those blackish/brown/grey markings all over his wings, tail, and starting to come in on his head. I don't think its barred, more like 'penciled'. He's a strange one for sure. But definitely my most affection chick, next to my leghorns. The three really enjoying perching on my hands...
