When to butcher a Buuf Orpington

My big worry is that we are going on vacation next week ,so the coop will be open all night whcih means he will be crowing early. With the coop closed up he crows around 7. With it open, its like 6.

We have a Buff Rooster that we got as a chick in early March. He now crows all the time. We want to get rid of him/eat him before we piss off all the neighbors. Is it too soon?

Did some more searching to add some more possible types. I am thinking we will get 2 and pick the Brown and Brown/Black ones

One of my nieces hatched chicks in her class and they are giving them. Trying to find out from them what they are, but can anyone here tell. I think the one in the back may be a rir and another a buff orpington. The dark ones not sure about. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ken_mott/7217189584/

Yeah, this will be interesting. Our Rooster is the friendliest and will come eat out my hand. While it takes the others a little while to warm up.

We bought pullets but 1 turned out to be a rooster. He's a Buff Orpington and was the one breed we got 3 of. Not sure if we should keep him around or not. We live in the county, not the city limits, and can technically keep him, but don't want to be annoying. All the houses are 1/4 lots, so...
