    Heat lamp exploded overnight

    Ours fell down on our box and caught fire. :( I came home to a smoky house and terrified birds. Luckily I got the fire out and no one was injured

    Hello there!

    Still trying to figure that out. Not sure if it was one of our grown chickens or something else. One of our chickens was bloody and injured too, but none of the baby chicks. You'd think a chick would be harmed before the big birds!?

    I'm in central cal, our chickens live in a backyard coops. What kind of predators do I have to worry about for my birds? There is a cover over the top so birds can't fly in. We've had a couple rats around. Will they hurt?
