I had to post this positive update! Over the last day one of the chick's feet made a complete recovery. Its now normal. The other foot is currently twisted more sideways than backwards. I think it all has to do with the non-slip shelf liner they're on because I didn't splint the chick's foot...

Nope, both of his feet are completely backwards straight under him. He walks directly on the front part of his legs where the feet connect. Its like the joint is backwards. I don't know how to describe it. It looks like a backwards 'L' if that helps. I'll try to take a picture.
