I have a 5 month old Easter Egger Rooster that I need to rehome. He is very friendly and doesn't really mind being handled. I would love to keep him but my neighbors don't appreciate his crowing. I am in Highland IL. 25 miles east of St. Louis MO.
I can't catch a break. These were straight run so I knew it was a gamble. But out of the 11 pullets we also got 2 roosters. I have no idea what to do with them. No bites on Craigslist in my area (southern IL) with the welsummer and Production Red roosters.
I asked this question a couple weeks ago, but they weren't old enough to tell. About 6 weeks. One has a 3 row comb but it's not too pink. The other has a single row but it's more pink. Are they both boys?
The two together.
The second EE has three tiny rows on it's comb. The other one doesn't. I've kinda resigned to the fact the JG is a boy. He/she challenges the big hens when I let them mingle and has little waddles already.
I have 3 im wondering about. Approximately 5 to 6 weeks old. First is a jersey giant, sold as an easter egger, pretty sure its not, sold as a pullet, looks suspicious to me. The 2 easter eggers were straight run.
I have three I'm wondering about. Two EEs and a Jersey Giant. Boys or girls? About 5 weeks old. The giant was sold as an EE pullet, but there were giants in the next bin. I think that was an oops. Looks like a roo?
Jersey giant
First EE
Second EE
Got these two cuties last week. They are 3 weeks old I think. Probably too young to tell if they are pullets or cockeral. The darker one is pretty feisty. Any guesses?
