    I use Purina pellets, and it seems that they don't waste much. But I also let them out to free range, and I can't believe how much that saved on feed.     I have R.I. Reds. I have two that have very, bad, bloody backsides. They have no tail feathers. The other chicken have been pecking them causing more bleeding.
