    I was just thinking about blue rose comb bantam, too. They do come in a blue variety. Maybe his breeder threw in some Campine genetics somewhere along the line to correct for something?

    I should have mentioned that - he hasn't crowed yet, but my other rooster immediately started crowing repeatedly when I added this new guy to the coop. Before today he would only crow a few times in the morning, never during the day.

    Yeah, I definitely plan to add him to my breeding program. I don't know for sure, but I think he most likely carries genes for white eggs. It was funny - my other rooster immediately started crowing when I added him to my coop, where he was nearly silent before! 🤣🤣

    Definitely not a female guys! As I said in the post. I haven't heard him crow yet but I just brought him home an hour ago. He "dances" with my other roo too.

    He exhibits clear rooster behaviors, i.e. "dancing" for my hens, and he has spurs. Sorry, I thought I got a better shot of his spurs in the pic with his feet in it. I haven't heard him crow yet but I'm sure he will in the morning.

    That's what I was thinking, but they are not usually hen feathered. He could have just gotten a bad gene though.

    If only I was made of money... I'd have all Brinsea products exclusively. That incubator has never once let me down. Although, with how finicky these foam ones are, I could probably save money by just getting it over with and buying another one 😭
