Thank you all for your help, I’m glad I was able to try some things I wouldn’t have otherwise known to try. Unfortunately, she did not make it, she rallied all day but died shortly after my last visit this evening. I’m hoping she felt warm and loved.
I will miss her. She acted more like a cat...
She definitely seems like she is ready to go. It seems I’m just making her more miserable when I try to help.
@Wyorp Rock when I cleaned her I only found dried and wet feces but didn’t see any other maggots or wounds. The smell is gone now and no critters that I can see.
She hasn’t improved as of yet. She is holding her tail up, which is confusing, but still not opening her eyes and is refusing to swallow now. I attempted to insert the syringe as shown in the photo but her esophagus is so far down I dont feel confident to get it in the correct spot.
I got some warm soapy water and cleaned the area without submerging her. It was smelling really bad and I saw a worm. I also gave her a crushed up calcium d3 pill. Not sure if I did that correctly thought. Now just letting her rest on my lap.
Continuing to give her some SavAChick electrolytes.
Will do.
She has been on her belly all morning, she doesn’t seem to be pooping. I was wondering if I should try to bathe her or if that would just be too much for her right now.
I found one of my sweet girls lying in the run this morning. When i picked her up a soft egg fell out. (First egg of the season) She is still breathing but wont stand or open her eyes. I have been holding her and dropping electrolyte water in her mouth. She sometimes will swallow it.
I’m not...
Hey everyone,
It's been awhile but I wanted to update you all since you took the time to respond before.
Millie has recovered and is doing wonderful. About a week or so after my last post she stopped all symptoms. No more head shaking, no more breathing hard. None of the other chicks got sick...

Update on Miss Millie:
Symptoms are still the same (quick breathing w/ closed mouth, a few consecutive head sneezes/twitches every 20 seconds.) She hasn't gotten worse and none of the other chicks are showing any symptoms.
I put them all on towels for 48...
I will start sifting their feed, and look into enlarging their pen. Any suggestions on the best way to change their bedding to reduce the dust?
If she does have some particles in her nares or trachea is there anything I can do to help?
Thank you @Isaac 0
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I think you may be onto something with the dust.
She has not gotten any worse, but her symptoms have remained constant. 2 to 3 sneezes every 15 seconds.
I am using Texas Natural Feeds Elite Chick Starter. It does have a mixture of crumbles and...
