Here is where they stay a lot but they are not confined here. It is my chicken run that is netted. They also have a big pond. They spend very little time there unless I close up the chicken coop and run them out. I'm struggling with adding photos.
My adult Pekin duck's vent area is turning black. I have had 2 others die in the past 3 months from what appears to be the same thing before I realized anything was seriously wrong. I just noticed her vent this morning. Any knowledge or recommendations for me?
The vet treated for bacterial for her ears with the Amikacin followed by oral Baytril. I hope this is not the case with the flesh eating bacteria. Her skin symptoms are certainly not improving since the office visit.
My white Silkie Bantam, 7mos. old, has been walking poorly for about 1 month. She chose to stay by herself, laying around and not roosting, which was unusual behavior. I picked her up to check her over about 10 days ago and she was really warm to the touch and had crust on her beak and around...

She hasn't laid in several weeks. It is in the high 80s and 90s this week but she's been sick for at least a month. We also have lots of shade and light breezes.

I am setting up a quarantine foe her now so that I can see her poop and keep her isolated. There is no vet in our area who will look at chickens or turkeys. I also offered her so bird seed with sunflower seeds and she seemed quite interested and went after it.
My 1yo Bourbon Red hen has been acting like she doesn't feel good for some time. She walks around with her wings down and her back feathers puffed. She stands in her water bowl a few times per day. She is not eating much and is clearly losing weight. She is not her usual active self. My...
