Just picked up 16 today that are a week old. So, the journey begins.

So, my wanting to start to raise quail is going to happen soon. Wednesday night I won a contest on Facebook for 13 jumbo Coturnix quail eggs. The eggs are coming out of VA, and I am hopeful that the shipping and the cooler weather does not destroy the eggs. Any hints on hatching shipped eggs...

Beautiful duck in your Avatar. I only have two girls left, I lost my Cayuga early this spring. She was 7 this year and seemed to be doing well. She was napping in the door of her house and didn't wake.

I am thinking the same thing, seems a shame to have it and not use it.
