We just moved to a new care taking position. There are 15 laying hens, 18 pullets, one young roo. Oh and 5 Angus heifers.

I had some sand (free someone gave me) that I tossed in the run. It was okay, kept things less swampy and when we moved was easy to till in. In the coop I used wood shavings, it was fine.

I haven't noticed that they've become more savage. However, I started off by feeding treats in a few different locations, that way the flock has little groups instead of a big group.

Likely a male plant, they do not produce fruit. Also could not be producing due to lack of nutrients, not enough light, etc.
