Hi just wondering last night I noticed one of my 4 geese had passed. He was the youngest a Chinese goose. Born last spring. No signs of an attack just curled up in his enclosure. Are there any common geese ailments I should be concerned about the rest of my flock catching?

My female that survived... has a back side neck portion with missing feathers (running on the wire). So it very well could have happened to her. Too bad it took a death to make me aware... never thought twice...
Ya around the corner in the pic... is a barn converted to there needs automatic water feeder... solar light... 5 days goose pellet feeder... it's also got a trap door I lock every night.. as far as digging goes I will be saturating the 2x4s with a layer of dirt 2 inches above the stud threshold...

HI I went to town for the day... when I got home 1 of my 2 gooses were dead. His head was thru the wire mesh. No sign of a predator I guess I am just wondering why. He was about 7 weeks old. The other goose was very upset. No sign of a predator (visually) any ideas?
Hi just wonder what age geese can handle colder temperatures (0ish) i have to transport two geese about 1000km. One goose is 4 weeks and the other is 3 weeks old. Wondering if they can handle the cold in a coup in the truck bed or a warmer more confined cardboard box is better.

Geese are 5 weeks old.. want to trasnport to new farm 1500km away have 3 dogs... thinking of building a coup for the pickup bed... should they be ok temp wise?
