    Thanks! I honestly didn't know squirrels were predators. I know squirrels can get in this run (and know exactly where and how) so i can make a plan in advance to prevent that. Thanks for the tip and the link!!!

    Thanks! My pen is a dog kennel 10x10 x 6 feet high. I have 1inch x 1inch 3 foot high wire fencing across bottom of kennel so assuming i need more at top? I also plan to cover the entire kennel.

    My chicken quad who are exactly 17 weeks old! I want to say all are pullets. I am told they were a cross between rhode island red and barred rocks. I read somewhere that rhode islands have green feathers if male and i see greenish feathers. any thoughts?!?!

    Me as well! The hatching experience has been very interesting and I have learned so much. This egg has a Lavender orpington chick baking away! We've had a few different breeds over the years with this being the first time to try orpingtons. Also have salmon faverolle eggs in the incubator.

    thanks! I'm agree with you, it's odd. photo and video was day 16. but yes, I agree. tomorrow (monday) is day 18 so the official lockdown will start. I'm placing this egg right at the front of my brinsea so i can watch if/what happens. so, by Thursday I should have an update one way or another.
