    Lethargic Gander Urgent help

Unfortunately, and as gut instinct told me when I first saw him… My gander passed.

    Lethargic Gander Urgent help

Okay… I agree that they may be fly eggs. So, I picked his nose as much as I could and flushed with a syringe and he helped blow the water out.

    Lethargic Gander Urgent help

They have full access to a kiddie pool that is always full and clear. So I don’t know why these are in his nose and not the gooses.

    Lethargic Gander Urgent help

He is literally, practically, sleeping in my kitchen sink. I pulled as much of this stuff out of his nares as I could. They are not moving and are fairly hard when pressed with a toothpick. He seems to be breathing slow, but deep. Like a person sleeping. No coughing, no vocal or droppings to...

    Lethargic Gander Urgent help

Help! I was gone for the weekend and came home to my gander, who my husband claims was “fine” this morning, lethargic in the coop. His lady friend seems fine, but he seems like he is dying. I offered water and food, he refused. He’s light on weight so I tube fed 60cc. I also noticed this white...

    Lame Rooster

He doesn’t just live on cracked corn and left overs alone... and it’s not just cracked corn. It has other things in it like DDG, alfalfa, sileage, and other mineral ingredients. Corn is not nutritionless, it is merely nutrient deficient in some areas. Just like all food, it is not a one and done...

    Lame Rooster

Alright, I have a dilemma. I have a rooster. He is about one year old, and in the past couple weeks has gone from a slight limp to full on can’t put weight down. He just hobbles around on one leg, while the other he lifts and swings out in front of him, even when just standing there. The...

    Help! Gosling vomiting/choking

Help, I came home to a 4 week old gosling semi lethargic. He drank some water and ate a bit of food but now appears to be vomiting/spitting up. Every time he spits up it gets caught in his mouth and he chokes!!! I’m constantly watching him to pull whatever is in there out before he dies

    Need help, what breed!

White chick could be White Rock, Cornish, leghorn... the other doesn’t look frizzled or silkie to me... silkies have dark skin and shanks, maybe buff Cochin if it has a single comb, Brahma or Wyandotte if rose combed...

    Cochin or?

My other Cochin have much more pronounced leg feathering, that is why I was asking. She could be a bantam. Is supposed to be black variety. She is not a mix. She has a single comb, so she is not Brahma. Got her from a semi-local feed store that basically makes their money on their year-round...

    Cochin or?

So, I am usually pretty good at judging what breeds my birds are. However, this one is supposed to be a Cochin, but is not growing/feathering like my other one. Is it still a Cochin or did the seller grab the wrong bird?

    Chicken breed?

HHHmmmm... is it truly tail-less? There is no actual tail or there is a tail, just no feathers growing out of it? Just trying to piece together possible genetic traits, here.
