All drakes can be a problem.They tend to arguelike brothers.Did you just introduce the rescued duck?

And his hormones may not be as wild as most cockerels are.My three year old New Hampshire still chases and pesters our hens,BUT he has a calm demeanor around kids and is a great care taker so the hens just kinda have to suffer through the spring.His sons were just like him.
Sounds like a rooster.Larger size,but late feathering definitely sounds like a boy,but we will wait and see.
As far as him over mating the girls,probably going to happen.A rooster of large breeds or regular sized needs atleast seven girls,would hurt to add an extra four?
