    I have cedar shaving on the floor of my coop.....getting my chickens tomorrow.... someone just told me cedar puts off toxic fumes and will harm my chickens. Is this true? I can take them out and put straw down if better.................

    LOL...I am not even sure of the breed. One of my neighbors is giving us a rooster and 4 or 5 hens. All I know is the rooster is a beautiful black.....so black his feathers shimmer green.
