You need to find the hen that is doing the pecking. If she develops an egg eating fetish she will have to be removed from the flock or she will pass the idea to the others.
Well, he and his wife could not convince the olympic committee we needed the Olympics, so they needed to throw him a bone. I'm just sorry it was an award that is suppose to mean something. The next thing is nominating him for sainthood. Sorry Terrie, but this is better than Letterman.
What has Sulmet got to do with what they eat? You can feed eggs back to your flock anytime you want. If you want to want to eat the eggs, usually 2 weeks is a good rule. No Sulmet and no Sulmet laced eggs given to the birds for 2 weeks and you should be able to eat the eggs again.
Cracked corn is OK as a treat/scratch sometime, but you don't want to feed it all the time. As someone else here said.."IT IS CANDY" now, would you feed your children a bowl of MMs for every meal? They might like it, but it will stunt their growth. Chickens are the same when it comes to good...
I would not feed any feed with bugs to my birds. In fact, I return any feed I get from the feed store back to the store if it has bugs in it. Bugs are a sign of poor storage. Mold and other by products are possible. I'd rather play it safe.
AI will be a joke this year. Ellen said she will be the voice of the people who buy the records. I thought that was what the phone call voting was for. She may be a good comic, and that is debateable, but she has no business deciding the fate of serious singers. She belongs on laughin, not AI.
Just for information purposes... Georgia has designated poultry as NOT being livestock.
"Georgia Code 4-4-80.
As used in this part, the term:
(1) 'Dealer' or 'broker' means any person, firm, or corporation engaged in the business of buying live poultry of any kind for resale or in selling...
Any explanation by man will always come up short, but if I might be allowed I will try to explain. The Hebrew old testament and the Koran both teach that God is One. He says this of himself, but he also said that man is a sinner in need of savior. The blood of bulls and goats being sacrificed...

I don't have a question, I just beg to differ. My preferred bible version is NLT, and that doesn't make me more or less saved than you.
Now, I will
I never said I was more saved than anyone else. My Thoughts were on the word of God. Please don't misquote me.
HennysMom,
You asked me a question. I would usually not approach this subject within BYC, but you asked.
I don't believe in religion. There is One God who created heaven and earth. He created man to dwell on the earth and man listened to Satan rather than God. God then cursed man for acting...

We translated quite a bit of the bible from orginal greek and latin texts in my ancient language classes.... some things don't say what the King James version says they do.
One problem with your statement is that there are no originals. There haven't been any since they were...
I'll give my version at the end, but I'd like to ask a few questions first. When you look for a bible are you looking for one that is easy to read and understand at first reading? Are you looking for a bible that uses modern up to date language? Are you looking for a bible without error? I ask...
The starter fluid should contain Ether. It may take as much as 20 min depending on the size of the bird. A young chick dies in a couple of minutes, I put down a 2 year old sick hen a few week ago and it took about 5 minutes. It depends on you and how you hold the cloth to the nose. She can't get...
Lanissa, They are right. The birds are sick and need to be culled. It may be too late for your main flock, but just keep a close look out around the eyes for any kind of discharge. As far as culling, I love my girls too. I use starter fluid on a rag placed over the head. The bird goes to sleep...
