I have a kiddie pool but I didn’t wanna put it in yet because they aren’t fully feathered. They are in a spot that’s pretty shady but i’m unable to really move it now. They seem pretty happy in it.
Yeah i’ll try using the chicken and I have some spare bricks that I’ll use to secure it. The area I have them in right now is pretty muddy, they’re enjoying it so far. Here’s a picture of what their set up looks like.
Thanks you! Yeah i’m in the northeast in the suburbs. This is some helpful advice because I was wondering if there were some preventative measures I could implement to deter predators. What would you recommend for the bottom two feet, some hardware cloth?
Great thank you! their coop is very dark I ended up leaving food and water in their with them so they would have the option, if they figured it out. And the good news is, that they made it through the night and are very happy!
5 week old runner ducks first night outside in their coop, is light necessary for them to drink their water and eat their feed. If so what kind of light would you recommend, a flashlight or something that plugs in? Thanks!
