Ducks first night outside, do they need light to drink/eat?

5 week old runner ducks first night outside in their coop, is light necessary for them to drink their water and eat their feed. If so what kind of light would you recommend, a flashlight or something that plugs in? Thanks!

They don't need to eat at night, lights will mess up their sleep/growth cycles. :]

If they are put in while it's still light and let out after its been light for awhile, then you could if you want but even then, they'll be asleep most of that time.

They'll be fine. Mine are in their coop for about 12 hours. I put them to bed around 8 pm, and take them out around 8 am.
