We bought 2 week old chicks from a guy who told us they were redstars. He said they were a cross between a leghorn and a Rhode island red. But I've noticed that they don't look like red stars. They're 3 months old now and one is a light brown color, while the others are more of a brown mahogany...

Hello all! I'm new to the world of chicken/duck owning with 5 female redstar chicks, about 1 month old, and 3 female pekin ducklings, about 1 week old. I though I'd join BYC to help me become the best chicken and duck owner I can be!
