Thanks for the input. I actually think shes on the mend now...finally. Baytril seems to be slowly working, the bacatricin is too. I did work on debriding her foot last night and tonight, we will see tomorrow if its working
Not really because she was on vacation but I did hear from the grapevine that she said that the only thing that will cure her is what she's on now which she's not supposed to be on. She doesn't want to know anything about this because she said she could loose her license knowing a meat animal...
pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. Coli. She needs Ciprofloxacin or Gentamiacin or Enrofloxacin (which she's getting illegally from me) but it's expired, October 2018, and I am not 100% sure of the dose long term, she will have been on it 2 weeks Monday night.
I'm not sure I can do that, add the results, not sure if I'm even supposed to have them but since I'm a nurse they stretch things a bit. She has E. Coli AND Pseudomonas aeruginosa. To treat both, she needs ciprofloxacin/Enrofloxacin which is apparently illegal to give to meat animals now. Her...
No, she didn't get another shot of Ivermectin, good point and I'll bring that up when I ever go back to talk about the culture. So far no word that the culture has come back. I have started soaking her feet nightly in Epsom salt, I let her feet air dry last night, will bag balm them/wrap this am...

Its like she has a head and foot infection. She has been this way since I got her on December 16th. She doesn't have any other respiratory signs, symptoms, no coughing, sneezing wheezing or heavy breathing.
The picture above is what her feet looked like before treatment, this is what it looks like now. I didn't post the after because it just a lot more swollen and purple from the blu kote. There were some mites, not an infestation and some of the chickens she came with have scaly mites on their...
Thanks, it's been two months treating her, I am getting pretty frustrated. I feel bad for her mostly but as long as she continues to eat and is perky I'll keep going
I bought this chicken like this, long story but I have a big heart and since I have cured bumblefoot in the past thought I could cure this. I tried the bumblefoot thing sans antibiotic, soaking in chlorahexadine, bagbalm, wrap. It wasn't working. I brought her to the vet, (a new vet, my old vet...
