    So today I noticed my 4 month old Welsummer mounting my legbar hen who was hatched in the spring. Does this mean she is going to lay soon? She hasn't started laying, are they normally late starters or could it be because it's winter?

    Thanks, I will keep an eye on him then. My daughter was holding him this afternoon and was giving a good look over. He seems fine, I didn't see this beforehand so I didn't try to smell his breath.

    Here's another couple pics that are better (the other was from my Instagram so I think it has a filter) I appreciate the compliments! I bought a pair of cream legbars on a whim a couple weeks ago and didn't read up, before finding out they should have crests.
