I have (6) 10 month old hens. 5 of the 6 of them are going through their first molt. Our delaware's feathers are coming in a different color. There is a brown spot that looks like blood...those are brown feathers! Is this normal?
I just bought this heat lamp. Have it hanging from the ceiling by a chain and it's clipped on chain. Safe and provides a spot the chickens can go under to warm up a bit.
