Yes, the hygrometer measure humidity and our has temp as well. The incubators temp said 35.5 but the temp inside was actually cooler. Didnt think to double check the thermostat may be out. Do i carry on with this batch or will they have been damaged?
Thank yoj, yes we are oretty much doing this but havent caught one! So disheartening. We have snap traps , himane traps and now put a bait station down but still they’re coming!
The coop is stationary. We dug chicken wire deep around and stone around the fence. We built a 50 square meter run. We have spent a lot of time trying to make them safe and will do anythi g it takes. We realise they are defenceless which is why we are asking for advice. We have rat traps down...
The coop is wood but the run is chicken wire dug down deep into the ground. They seem to be digging into the dirt and under the fence. About 2-3 metres!

Please help us. Over the past week we have been finding burrow holes going from outside to under the fence and in the coop. We have have chicks vanish without a feather and no eggs so presumably they are being stolen or our hens are scared and not laying.
We are filling the holes up but...
We have had nothing like this happen before. We thought it was because they were wondering away from their heat box so we put a lamp up instead. They were still dying so we have brought them inside with the brooder heat plate. Today another one died. They are eating and drinking so what is going on?
