Sounds like you have no imagination my good sir I've seen people hatch with just a box, thermostat, spray bottle and a heat lamp but I am done and it's doing great [/IMG][/IMG]
So my mother works for a fiber glass company and they tend to have 10-20 of these boxes just waiting to be picked up by the garbage man well I took 4 told her I may need 5 more hahaha
Well now I'm back to 1 egg daily the others had no growth I have 1 goose nesting and hissing at me the other could care less think I'm going to try and sex them this coming weekend just to make sure
So I have been feed my chickens a combo mainly consisting of 20% AN cattle cubes (20% all natural protein mix) and either cracked corn or chicken scratch if you ever seen cattle cubes they are just really big pellets and HARD to break so what I have been doing is filling up a bucket or 10 gallon...
So it turns out I may have 2 females been getting 2 eggs daily the last few days and cracked open an egg from the incubator no growth still have 3 in there I'll give em a couple more days
SO EXCITED!!!!!! I need to get my incubators calibrated and hopefully my 18 hens start laying more consistinly so I can hatch a lot can't wait currently habe 18 hens and 5 roosters most of my breed are Cochin and Easter egger hens all roosters are Cochins and I have very beautiful black/blue...
Think I lucked out with my 2 Toulouse geese and ended up with one of each if you can tell from the pics one has a slender under belly the other has a hanging one both same age [/IMG]
