    please help - almost 5 year old hen unable to pass regular stool - have soaked in rosin salts but began struggling once she got out. she cries in pain every time she tries to release poop and it seems like not much is coming out besides a mucusy white substance.

    An update: we had the hen necropsied and it came back inconclusive. There were no tumors or any other Marek’s signs.     Sadly, she passed away in the night. We are having an avian veterinarian do a necropsy.

    I am wondering if anyone has ever experienced something like this? She’s acting like she has splay leg and is still having poor quality poops. Id prefer to try to figure out every possibility before jumping to Marek’s.
