    Chicken run door getting stuck

We did have one there for a little bit but it wasn’t quite that big. It was trapping the dirt even more because it was then going over it and getting stuck then between the wood and the door. But again, it wasn’t quite that big so maybe that had something to do with it!!

    Chicken run door getting stuck

Our chickens are digging around the run door so much that the dirt that gets kicked up around the door is causing it to get jammed and won’t close after opening. This isn’t a huge problem if the chickens didn’t then make a break for it and then I’m left chasing 8 chickens 🤪 Any suggestions on...

6 old EE a little aggressive

One of our EE can be pretty aggressive when eating out of our hands. She almost snaps at our skin and then pulls. I’ve notice one other chick doing this same thing. I don’t know if this is normal or not... it doesn’t make me want to feed them treats from my hands!

2.5 week old Rhode Island Red sleeping standing up

She seems to be eating and drinking fine. Most of the time she is with the rest of the flock but has been standing pretty upright and then will just close her eyes and seem to fall asleep. Thoughts?

    Prolapsed vent?! New chicken momma!

Since this post she has been acting 100% normal. Should we be doing anything? We’ve been doing prep H once a day and pushing it back. But that’s it.

    Prolapsed vent?! New chicken momma!

Is this a prolapsed vent? I noticed she wasn’t hanging out with the other chicks and was moving around slowly. Then I saw her straining to As been drinking water but not sure about eating.

I’m in eastern GA where the highs are between 75-85 with lows down to the 50s. we currently have eight chicks inside in a brooder. Two are 4 weeks old, six are 2 weeks old. Im starting to feel like their brooder is too small and I don’t have a larger option for them. The older two keep jumping...
