    I was in the same boat in Tucson, and I put an ad on craigslist offering it for free. In about 2 hours I had 5 offers, and after I started tell people it was taken, they started to offer money. I think you're safe putting it on Craigslist.

    Fire ants in the chicken pen

    That's good to know, I usually have a fire ant mound near where I placed my coop. I can't wait to watch the ants suffer:) My kids are tired of the bites.

    I've been monitoring the contact between the dogs and chicks. They all run around the backyard without issue after a few weeks. Surprising our lab wants nothing to do with the chickens, and the poodle tries to act like a chicken and blend in with the two chickens. I think we got lucky.
