Thank You for all the info. I am getting 4 to 5 eggs a day, so I guess that is good for 6 hens. The Rooster bothers me more than the hens. I just hate to see them with bare backs, when they were so pretty feathered.:)
You are right. I could never put him in the crock pot. So the backs being bare does not harm the hens? It looks like it hurts them.

Okay tried to attach a picture but it won't let me. I have 1 Rooster and 7 hens, Rhode Island Reds, they started losing their back feathers about 4 months ago. I thought it might be motting but just not sure. All but 2 are naked on the back. What do I do?

Okay gave a good soak plan on another tonight. She is still dragging the leg but swelling seems to have gone down alittle. Should I separate her from the others?
