    I have another question. My quail are about 5? weeks old now. They have mostly been very calm little things (every once in a while one will get spooked and jump up) but starting yesterday, it seems for no reason, one will start running around and then the others will all start running too...

    Putting coturnix quail outside questions

    I live in Boise, Idaho and I put mine outside at 3-4 weeks old. It's been 30-40s at night, 60s during the day. I only keep the heat lamp on them at night and they are happy campers. They are in an old rabbit hutch with 3 sides closed in. Good luck!

    For my Idaho friends. Here is a great place to get gamebird feed: http://www.meridianmill.com/p/poultry-products.html. As close to non GMO as I can find and higher % protein and cheaper than Zamzows and D&B.
